Deputy Principal’s Message

Dear Sirius College Community,

Weather is warming up and we are excited to be able to spend more time outdoors. Term 4 finds us taking the learning outdoors more often. Many times, a class will be reading outside, doing sport, having a picnic or doing some art. The benefits of nature are amazing to say the least!

Sun Smart

Our Term 1 and 4 Sun Smart Policy is that ALL students must wear a Sirius College school hat while engaging in play in the outdoors. Compared with adults, children are more vulnerable to the harmful effects of UV radiation and have less capacity to make informed decisions. Children rely on adults to provide resources and reminders for sun protection, especially as UV radiation peaks during school hours (noon). Please ensure your child has a school hat at school every day. Although we encourage NO HAT SHADE PLAY, students are responsible for bringing and wearing their school hats daily.

Food Glorious Food Arts Fest 2019

We are ever so excited about our upcoming art show and concert this week. Students and staff have poured their time, effort, and enthusiasm into this event and we hope to see you all there to enjoy the festivities with us!

Year 6 Graduation

Next week, we will also have our year 6 graduation. A big Congratulations to all of our year 6 students for concluding their studies here at Sirius College Dallas, and a big well done to all who have achieved awards.

I look forward to both events with the students, families, and staff.
